With a vocal that embraces both melancholic darkness and inviting light, Lauge Heebøll creates his own stage as a solo artist. Dark synth textures, noisy post-punk elements and hypnotic EDM beats intertwine to form a raw and compelling sonic universe.
Speaking about his music, Lauge says:
“I hope people can turn inwards and be moved by the music – perhaps even find a sense of hope in the midst of the darkness. I’m fascinated by the space live music can create, where melan- choly and euphoria can exist side by side.”
The album echoflower moves between dark- ness, noise and more open, melodic passages, where Lauge’s vocal at the centre, gives the music a personal and recognisable touch.
Even before his official debut, Lauge has made his mark at Roskilde Festival 2024, where – as part of the Reumert Awardwinning collaboration Ripe Body – he transformed the Platform Stage into an intense, electronic dance floor. He has also appeared on DR P6’s Mon Amie Complexe, presenting tracks from echoflower and speaking about the album’s creation.
Live, Lauge Heebøll performs in a trio format alongside Nicolai Karl Madsen (drums) and Kristoffer Sinding Yde (guitar, bass and drum machine). The setup works equally well in venues, club settings and at festivals
